The Otto Fischer company was founded in 1899 and today employs around 300 people in Zurich. The independent electrical wholesale company is run as a family business and supplies the electrical installation industry throughout Switzerland on a daily basis. To promote energy efficiency and reduce the impact on the climate, Otto Fischer launched the “eco2friendly” programme in 2009. Together with 40 strong Leading Partners as well as further 700 partner companies from the ranges electrical installation, architecture and planning eco2friendly sensitizes specialists and owners to solutions for a lasting handling with energy.
In the Innovation Park, Otto Fischer operates the eco2friendly-LAB – a competence centre for new innovations in building technology. The LAB was founded to advance the industry by providing forward-looking companies and institutions with an ideal environment for mutual exchange. With so-called “Ideas Breakfasts”, new ideas and offers can be developed together, which are a benefit for all involved.
